The Role

The Microsoft 365 Architect is a technical role, accountable for the delivery of end user cloud services, enabling our colleagues to work and communicate productively. The Architect role provides expertise within IT and across the business supporting solutions that enhance productivity with a focus on building a flexible, scalable, and secure solution in Office 365. The position requires in-depth knowledge of the entire O365 application stack, and how best to leverage and integrate those applications in the enterprise environment. These solutions should enable identity and access management, productivity, data access, mobility management and increase the organisation’s ability to collaborate across teams, departments, and geographic regions.

The Candidate

As someone who will be liaising with key stakeholders at all levels, you will be an outstanding communicator with exemplary written and verbal communications skills. A real ‘people person’, you will be a natural when it comes to discussing and understanding business processes and challenges. 

It goes without saying that you will be a Microsoft 365 Expert with in depth Office 365 knowledge and skills. In order to translate business problems into technology solutions, you will need to be someone who has the business acumen to understand the impact of service disruption on business operations. You’ll also have:

  • Experience in Active Directory and Windows device management
  • Experience in enterprise software operating environments in a technical role, including - but not limited to - design, implementation, monitoring and support, disaster recovery, etc.
  • Programming or scripting experience with a proven ability to author automated infrastructure solutions
  • Cloud infrastructure management experience with Microsoft Azure (and in addition - AWS or another cloud services provider is a plus)
  • n  Hands-on experience with identity management and modern authentication using Azure Active Directory
  • Hands-on administration and implementation experience with the Microsoft 365 platform, including Intune, productivity tools (Office 365)
  • Experience with Microsoft data protection technologies (Azure Information Protection) is a strong plus
  • n  Experience with distributed source code control systems (e.g. Git/GitHub) and Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) is a plus
  •  Experience in creating PowerBI dashboards
  • Strong presentation skills
  • 5 years of experience
