This is an exciting moment in the history of one of the world’s leading art institutions as we undergo a capital transformation project that will make The Courtauld’s world-class artworks, research and teaching accessible to more people - in the UK and internationally.

The Courtauld is seeking an exceptional senior leader to take up the new role of Managing Director. A key member of the Executive, the Managing Director will be directly accountable for the operational management of The Courtauld ensuring the delivery of its vision, mission and strategic objectives. The post holder will be directly accountable for overseeing the implementation of the operating model across all activities of The Courtauld through effective business planning, operational development and resource management.

A transformational leader, you will contribute both at a strategic and operational level, leading and inspiring staff to ensure that The Courtauld achieves its ambitions. The Managing Director will be a commercially astute, senior general manager with an interest in the arts, an understanding and belief in the value of higher education, and a desire to further drive the success of this world-renowned organisation.
