The Role

• Support and training for NA region for various cost accounting technical processes in SAP.

• Assist with annual cost center planning process supported in SAP ECC. This responsibility involves deriving the annual cost center budget schedule, cost center budget training, and deriving the annual budget baseline.

• Master data subject matter expert for various cost accounting objects.

• Assist and provide backup for the configuration and processing of various expense recharging (Assessments & Distributions), intercompany recharges, internal & plant maintenance orders, project settlements, and service billings.

• Assist and provide backup for inventory processes during closing (running reports and revaluations for product costing (PCE), maintain goods in transit execution jobs, and assist with issues with inventory business assignments).

• Provides support to cost accountants for manufacturing accounting (maintenance of ECC contract manufacturing tables, goods receipt-invoice receipt reclass, support manufacturing cost center jobs, and support manufacturing order jobs).

• Inter-Company Cost Variance (ICV) BPL - Educate and train cost accountants on the topic of ICV, ensure up-to-date cost accounting work process documentation, partner with Finance Global Reporting (FGR) when they conduct ICV report training and trouble-shoot problems or issues raised by Finance related to ICV.

• Resolve issues and support cost accountants as needed.

• Ensure various cost accounting work process documentation is up to date. Provide technical support and consultation for various issues, inquiries, changes, and enhancements relating to cost accounting and cost process reporting processes within SAP ECC.

• Involvement in mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, as needed, as it relates to cost accounting system requirements.

• Ensure effective internal controls in all areas of responsibility.

• Seek opportunities to standardize processes to drive efficiencies.

• This individual will have interact with Accenture AMS, External Auditors, and other Consultants.

The Person

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant Information Technology discipline.

• 4 - 6+ years’ experience in a relevant Finance role.

• Progressive experience supporting multiple IT projects/engagements in technical areas such as data analytics and SAP.

• Previous cost accounting and/or operational experience in industrial chemicals and publically traded companies preferred.

• Experience with merger and acquisition integration and considerations would be beneficial.

• Understanding of Trinseo businesses and financial reporting system capabilities preferred.

• Strong enterprise business acumen, knowledge and understanding of work processes performed by Finance.

• Experience in designing, documenting, implementing, and improving work processes.

• Strong project management skills.

• Innovative.

• Exceptional interpersonal effectiveness and communication skills.

• Ability to demonstrate value to, quickly establish trust from and form beneficial relationships with individuals and teams.

• Proficiency using SAP/ECC and other technology and systems.

• Ability to create and modify macros and scripts (includes VBA/VBM) is a plus.

• Solid comprehension of internal control.

• Above all, the ability to be agile, adapt and produce in a fast-paced, changing environment.
